The 15-panel VIA architectural video proved to be a popular attraction at the 2014 Smart City Expo, held by IBM last week in Taipei. Providing a focal point in the cinema area of the event, the video wall stimulated great interest in the crowd for potential integration opportunities across a wide range of smart facilities including transportation, healthcare and buildings.
Richard Brown, VP of Marketing at VIA, was on hand to deliver a presentation discussing the rapid pace of innovation and adoption occurring in the digital signage market and the greater importance video walls will play in the development of Smart Cities over the next decade. A prime example of how VIA video wall installations are already contributing to this ecosystem is in control room environments where they provide the ability to visualize big data and engage with multiple video sources and PC applications in real-time to facilitate effective decision making.
The expo provided a great opportunity for a diverse group of industries to come together and share their visions of the future Smart City ecosystem and will surely inspire new collaborations going forward. VIA was proud to be a partner in the event and is committed to continuing the evolution of Smart City infrastructure through innovation and design.
